Our focus is on affordable, self-catering overnight accommodation for families, businessmen, and contract workers. Marli Guesthouse is privately owned and run by the owner, Marilien Snyman, who is hands-on in the daily management of the establishment. For the past four years she has nurtured this baby, to become the reputable business it is today. Since 2014 the guesthouse is fully complaint. Her caring nature and passion for people urged to give a safe haven to those who cannot be with their families due to other commitments. Helping other, be it with accommodation or to generate income is high on her personal agenda. Doing so, she will also be able to one day, hand her legacy to her children. It is her dream to have a holistic business, where all the support activities are complementary to each other – thus laundry, accommodation and transport all in one. Through this venture, she hopes to bring about change in the lives of other. Welkom is South Africa’s youngest city and emerged in 1947, after the discovery of gold in the area. It is literally in the centre of the country, with Bloemfontein 130 km away, and Johannesburg around 200 km. Marli Self-catering Guesthouse is situated in Stateway, the main street of Welkom, 3km from the CBD. We are close to shopping malls, filling stations, medical practitioners and pharmacies, with Medi Clinic around the corner.
